Sacred Heart Parish is seeking a Sacrament Preparation & Volunteer Screening Coordinator (Full-Time)
This role supports the Church by coordinating volunteer screening and overseeing preparation for Sacraments like First Reconciliation and Confirmation. You’ll work closely with the Pastor, staff, and ministry leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Sacramental Preparation: Manage volunteer recruitment, training, and schedules. Oversee preparation sessions, retreats, and celebrations. Collaborate with schools and clergy. Maintain records and assist couples with marriage preparation.
- Volunteer Screening: Ensure compliance with screening protocol. Manage documentation and background checks. Provide training and support.
- Administrative Support: Assist with reception, supplies, and website updates. Prepare commentaries and prayers. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma + Administration Diploma/Certificate (Religious Education/Theology a plus).
- Administrative/clerical experience with computer skills.
- Excellent customer service, organization, and time management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently & collaboratively.
- Familiarity with the Diocese and a positive, energetic attitude.
Safe Environment:
- Required to complete VSPIC, Praesidium training, and sign the Code of Conduct.
Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (1-hour unpaid break).
