COMING CLOSER TO CHRIST:
“Christ was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted….” We need to declutter our interior life, to create silence and space amidst the chaos of our lives. There are other voices: our own, the voices of the tempter, the voices of the world…..Can we hear the voice of God who speaks in the silence of our hearts?

SERVING OTHERS: Lenten sacrifices can sometimes be mistaken for New Year’s resolutions; that is, focusing on self-improvements for my personal esteem. Lent, rather, is a transformation of mind, heart and habits freeing me to love God above all else, and my neighbour as self. Pray for the grace of conversion, then commit to the means He reveals for self-denial, that it may no longer be I who live in me, but Christ. Lent is to become a saint!
